HABITAT
2020
I build a visual vocabulary based on familiar materials, forms and objects, which are used in a different purpose, so this practice helps me to create my own archive. For me it is important that the space I create becomes interactive and activated. I tend to produce work myself and to let the space for the coincidence and the development of materials themselves.

So, I work with the space in scenographic manner, building my dramaturgy, where characters are my sculptures. Usually through architectural narrative I reflect to the themes of memory, solidarity, migration, society and its structure. As a migrant I experience in practice my own utopia, but I believe that the space between the borders carries enormous artistic potential. Through my research I am creating heterotopias, which become worlds within worlds, mirroring and yet representing something uncanny in itself, so these conceptual spaces build up a stage for critical reflection and questioning of existing hierarchies.

HABITAT
2020
My current project does a visual and spatial research on the theme of home, shelter and as said before habitat. Through architectural analysis I try to understand the quality of negative space, personal space, volume within the relevant scale needed to provide us with comfortable existence and to make these definitions tangible.

We see everywhere ‘keep the distance’ apparently the boarders not only of states but also of every human are getting closed and strongly protected. I think no one has ever paid so much respect to the personal space as now. In this work, I consider these issues on the example of the apartment and the house in which I am. I work with measurements and their relations to one another, moving from large to small. Summarizing objects into geometric functions without unnecessary details, I try to calculate the same empty space by which our privilege is measured.
